- We make every effort to ensure a safe working environment for our employees, contractors and others associated with our activities.
- We respect the rights and property of the landowners we do business with. We are landowners ourselves, and we strive to be polite guests of the people we lease from and their neighbors.
- We use outstanding scientists and give them the best tools available in order to minimize risk and maximize returns on our leasing and drilling efforts.
While we have interest in the Fayetteville shale in Arkansas, our initial activities have been in the Barnett Shale play in North Texas. We have developed two previous Barnett Shale fields in urban Tarrant, Jack and Palo Pinto Counties. Our primary focus continues to be on the Barnett, and our current portfolio of Barnett acreage is located across Tarrant, Denton, Somervell, Bosque and Dallas Counties. Our particular expertise is drilling in populated areas while minimizing disruption to surface property and activities, and most of our Tarrant, Denton, and Dallas County positions are located in urban areas.
Keystone is headquartered in Fort Worth. Our people live here in the Metroplex, and our goal is to be a good neighbor and responsible corporate citizen in the communities in which we operate. Several years ago, Keystone was one of the first companies to drill wells in compliance with the then new governing ordinances of the City of Fort Worth, and we are now working closely with other communities in the same way as the frontier of the Barnett continues to expand.
